Eugenia Hernandez is an experienced Latina corporate attorney. She has privately-held multi-national corporate legal experience and Fortune 500 corporate legal experience for business operations in the U.S., Latin America, and the Caribbean, including conducting legal work in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Her international legal experience spans Asia, Europe and Africa, including work in South Africa, Portugal, Spain, England, Kazakhstan, China, Korea, and Japan. Her extensive experience working with globally-distributed teams and contractors and management experience supervising attorneys, outside counsel, hearing representatives, paralegal, and clerical staff, with responsibility for regional offices in a statewide insurance organization and also across multiple business units of her employers ideally positions her to give business advice while keeping in mind legal and regulatory requirements and spotting issues that require legal counsel. She has extensive experience directing outside counsel with general and subject matter-specific expertise, directing depositions, hearings, and appellate work, reviewing work product, billing, and outcome records. She is an experienced workers compensation litigator with both claimant and defense experience and has subject matter expertise in Iowa and New York workers compensation systems.

Eugenia is a cross-functional attorney who focuses on driving business results and growth, partnering to provide advice on legal support across multiple geographies in corporate law, compliance, enterprise risk management, international human resource and employment law support, antitrust, internet security, data privacy, general contract law, advertising and marketing materials, sweepstakes, product labeling, litigation, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, mergers and acquisition, and ethics. She has partnered with heads of numerous business lines and departments, domestic and international, throughout the companies she has worked for including finance, procurement, sales and marketing teams. A part of her current business’ global leadership team, she understands business and the relationships between business and legal teams and issues. She has experience with legal issues of export control and compliance with foreign and domestic law and regulation related to software and equipment, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating software, data and technology licenses and other contracts on behalf of a software business unit with commercial and public sector customers and vendors. She provides advice to corporate marketing staff on such matters as privacy law, gambling and sweepstakes law, and ownership/intellectual property and licensing rights. She has extensive experience with software licensing, professional services, government, teaming, partnership, OEM, reseller, distribution and VAR agreements in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. She has supported enterprise-level procurement issues. During her tenure as a contract manager, Eugenia worked directly for a Fortune 500 Vice President for Global Contracts where she advised and assisted sales, finance and business development staff on contracts, including developing and and managing key customer contracts during the entire contract lifecycle including creation, negotiation, execution, compliance, renewal, dispute resolution and termination, and including RFP responses.
